Want to make a difference? You’re here because you’re ready to push the dial in the right direction. But if we want to make real change, we must know ourselves.
Welcome to Thrive Mind: an open space that challenges you to think differently about the environmental and social issues before us, bolster your efforts with our Kete of curated tools, then support others to start making real impact across our workplaces, communities, and throughout Aotearoa.
Think. Learn. Do. Let’s get started.
Think
The Thrive Mindset
Are you concerned about our global issues? Do you feel frustrated, overwhelmed, helpless, lost or outright terrified? Welcome to the emotional rollercoaster that is giving a damn about our world and the beings within. We’re living in a mental health crisis, we’re told the problem is located in our brain chemistry that many of us need anti-depressants, and therapy, but what if our poor mental health is a healthy response to living in a traumatising world of upheaval? Is the mental health crisis a symptom of an ecological crisis? it’s not just brain chemistry when it’s this many people! What if we can honour the fear that paralyses us, while still moving forward with an open, creative and curious mindset? What if we can understand both our own and others' response to change, then connect and move forward together?
Learn
Kete
The Thrive Mindset seeks inspiration from interdisciplinary sectors around the world to spark impact on New Zealand soil, such as social sciences, psychology and systems ecology. Our Kete delves into the brain of our impact consultant and aims to make these big ideas accessible, providing a basket of building blocks that you can use to mentally build your way out of the mess we’re in today.
Do
Creative Changemaker Handbook
Mindset and knowledge is essential, but it’s in the ‘doing’ that we see impact. Our Creative Changemakers Handbook supports you to build self-agency; a pathway from developing a mindset into a framework for change and building the confidence and ability to apply it within your workplace, organisation or community.
