Understanding impact leadership

Impact Leadership- what is it? Aotearoa, New Zealand is a country that values innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility yet there is still much work to be done in creating a better future for ourselves and our planet. This is where Impact Leadership comes in – it is key to creating transformational change that can address the pressing challenge.

What is Transformational Change?

Transformational change is about making fundamental shifts in the way we think, act, and do in our culture, business or otherwise. It is about challenging the status quo and creating new ways of operating that are more sustainable, equitable, and impactful. Transformational change requires a willingness to take risks, be creative, and embrace uncertainty. Without planning for change, we won’t

In Aotearoa, New Zealand, there is a growing need for transformational change in areas such as climate change, social inequality, and cultural identity. To achieve this change, we need Impact Leaders who can act and inspire others to take action, and drive meaningful change in their families, communities and organisations.

Impact leadership is not just about having a vision or an idea, it's about taking action to make that vision a reality. Impact leaders are doers - they don't just talk about change, they actively work to create it and we need more doers!

One of the key characteristics of an impact leader is their ability to inspire and motivate others to take action. They are able to communicate their vision in a way that inspires others to join in their efforts. Impact leaders understand that creating change requires collaboration and teamwork, and they are able to build strong relationships with others to make their vision a reality. They understand that creating change often requires stepping out of their comfort zone and taking calculated risks. They are not afraid of failure, and they see setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow. Does this sound like anyone you know? Could it be you?

Impact leaders are passionate, committed, and driven to make a difference. They are the ones who will drive the transformational change we need to address the pressing challenges of our time.
